April Showers Bring May Flowers
Although March 21st is the first official day of Spring here in the US, we typically don’t get to see the beauty of the awakening world until the start of April (however, this year has certainly been an exception here in Kansas). To celebrate the Nature’s new beginnings, we have gathered a few pieces that embody the beauty and livelihood of Spring.
As Spring begins to…well spring, we see animals awakening from their slumbers, birds returning home and hatching new families, the grass begin to green and the flowers begin to bloom. Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky, and Mendelssohn have all written pieces that paint wonderful pictures of Spring.
April also begins the new season of Professional baseball. Why not celebrate the return of the baseball season with an American classic, “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.”
Other holidays and special events celebrated during the month of April include April Fool’s, Arbor Day, National Poetry Month, Jazz Appreciation Month and even National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Month.
Whether you are celebrating one of the many holidays in April, enjoying a game of baseball, or admiring Nature’s beauty, we hope you enjoy playing all of this month’s pieces.
