Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka:
(1 June 1804 – February 15 1857), was the first Russian composer to gain wide recognition within his own country, and is often regarded as the father of Russian classical music []

Esa-Pekka Salonen:

(Born June 30, 1958) is a Finnish orchestral conductor and composer. He is currently Principal Conductor and Artistic Advisor of the Philharmonia Orchestra in London and Conductor Laureate of the Los Angeles Philharmonic []

Bernard Herrmann:

(June 29, 1911 – December 24, 1975) was an American composer noted for his work in motion pictures. An Academy Award-winner (for “The Devil and Daniel Webster,” 1941), Herrmann is particularly known for his collaborations with director Alfred Hitchcock, most famously “Psycho,” “North by Northwest,” “The Man Who Knew Too Much,” and “Vertigo.” []

Jacques Offenbach:
 (20 June 1819 – 5 October 1880) was a German-born French composer, cellist and impresario of the romantic period. He is remembered for his nearly 100 operettas of the 1850s–1870s and his uncompleted opera “The Tales of Hoffmann.”  []
